Here is what to look for if teams want to advance to knockout round for the national championship (simplified scenarios only):
Pool A
Weber State v. Washington U at 6:30p tonight.
Both advance to 2nd round, winner wins group, loser is 2nd place.
If there is a tie, Washington U wins group on Most Goals For
Pool B
Texas "A" v. Virginia Tech
Both advance to 2nd round, winner wins group, loser is 2nd place.
If there is a tie, Virginia Tech wins group on higher goal differential
Pool C
Harvard v. Illinois at 6:30p tonight.
Both advance to 2nd round, winner wins group, loser is 2nd place.
If there is a tie, Illinois wins group on Most Goals For
Pool D
Florida v. Colorado "Gold" at 6:30p tonight.
If Colorado "Gold" wins or ties, thehy win group.
If Florida wins, they win group. If Florida ties, they advance as 2nd.
If Florida loses, by 2 or more, USC is 2nd.
**If Florida loses by 1, tiebreaker procedures are in effect.
Pool E
Auburn v. Ohio State at 8:15p tonight.
Winner wins group. Loser is 3rd, A&M is 2nd.
**If there is a tie, tiebreaker procedures are in effect.
Pool F
Michigan State v. LSU at 8:15p tonight
Michigan State wins group with win or tie.
LSU advances with tie, wins group with win.
If LSU loses by 2 or less, LSU advances.
If LSU loses by 4 or more, Colorado School of Mines advances.
**If LSU loses by 3, tiebreaker procedures are in effect.
Pool G
Cal Poly v. Georgia at 8:15p tonight
Both advance to 2nd round, winner wins group, loser is 2nd place.
**If there is a tie, Cal Poly wins group by Higher Goal Differential.
Pool H
TCU v. Penn State
TCU wins group with win or tie.
Penn State advances with tie, wins group with win.
If Penn State loses 2 or more, UCLA advances.
**If Penn State loses by 1, tiebreaker procedures are in effect.
